What is Trial Treat Beat?
Trial Treat Beat is our £25 million mission to double survival chances for people with the deadliest blood cancers. It’s based on a model that improved survival in prostate cancer and it’s the best chance we have to change the odds and save more lives.
The £25 million we raise will fund three innovative, large-scale clinical trials, such as MAMS trials, that will each test several treatment approaches – making them faster and more efficient. More importantly, they impact patients sooner. Because treatments which aren’t working can be stopped early, while promising treatments move forward more quickly.
£1 million of the £25 million will go to our Clinical Trials Navigation Service, to help people find relevant trials and understand what’s involved, and our Policy and Advocacy work, so that we help ensure that everyone with blood cancer has fair access to treatments when they’re available.
Where we are right now
Every donation brings us closer to funding the trials that will help double survival chances.
Trial Treat Beat is really exciting. Because there might not be treatments for me, I might run out of treatments. But there might be a clinical trial that I respond really well to and I could be here for another ten years. That is really hopeful.
